How Crafty are WE?!

So here is our big show and tell. Here are a few pictures of some of our latest creations. I know my "talents" seem very lame when compared side by side with some of the stuff he can do, but here's for being lame! I sewed these two bags last night. the Purple and blue one is for Mykenzie...she LOVES it! the yellow one is my "other" diaper bag. Chris made this coffee table and end table to go in the family room. they match the entertaiment center and surround towers that he made. Anyway...enjoy our braggin :)

Curlie Q

So yesterday for church, Mykenzie wanted her hair "like Abby's" (a little neighbor girl who has really long naturally curly hair). So Mykenzie and I spent about half and hour in the bathroom and only one burn and one bribe later, she turned out like this! Is that not SOOO cute! She looked so cute yesterday at church in her pink shirt and skirt (thank you sarah for the help picking that one out for Christmas!). We've also been teaching Mykenzie to learn how to accept a compliment. Every time you tell her that she is pretty she gets mad and says, "I'm not pretty!" After a lot of compliments and even more teaching now she says either, "Sure!" or "Thank you!" Yesterday at church, Bishop Crafts told her she looked pretty in pink and she just hid behind chris! Funny little girlie. Yesterday morning at breakfast Jaxon said, "Mom, I'm trying to do a new trick. Look at me." I watched as he attempted to stick his spoon in his ear. I asked him what he was doing and he said, "I'm trying to stick my spoon in my ear and then take it out of the other side!" Here's to children's entertainment that has my 4 year old thinking you can really stick a spoon through your head!

OK, so we had Jayden laughing really good last night so we had to get the camera out to get it recorded. So of course, we had to have some more fun with it. Jaxon "needed" to have his picture taken, so here we are :)

the Rantings of Nicole

OH, I am so mad I think I just might explode! I have never had my intelligence so insulted in my entire life. I know I'm no genius, but really! This lady had to think I was a child to think I could be as stupid as she was assuming I was! For as long as we've lived in our house, our mortgage company has paid our taxes and insurance. We refinanced not too long ago and now we pay. I have NEVER..in 5 years ever ONCE received a tax statement. I always assumed that it just got sent to whoever paid it. I assumed this fall that my old mortgage company must have paid it, since we didn't receive a statement. Anyway, that obviously wasn't the case. I had to call the Cache County Assessors office to find out why we've never received a bill. This woman told me that (and this really is exactly what she said), "Maybe you threw it away." Ummm, yeah, everthing that says "assessors office" right in the recycle...why would i need that? Then she tells me that maybe the post office messed up...yeah for the last five years, the post office has been able to deliver everything BUT that...they are keeping a collection of them...just for a joke, I'm sure. they have a stash of 15 or so letters from the assessors office just for fun 'cause they get bored up there. they thought they'd make a joke of the anderson family. HELLO?!?! maybe there is just something wrong with your program...maybe for some reason it hasn't been getting sent?! AHHH! I just want to scream. I don't think anyone can be as dumb as this lady was suggesting I am. The government always does everything right and with how many thousands of bills that they send out at least twice every year, yup, the mistake must definitely be on my part!

Camera Crazy

OK, so Chris went a little camera crazy last night while i was getting dinner ready. Here we are having fun! Jayden is now 7 months old and fairly close to cutting that first tooth. He's getting so big! They are ALL getting so big!
