Prodigal Returns

The Prodigal ballet shoe has returned! Hallelujah! It disappeared while we were "under construction" a few weeks ago and we haven't seen it since. I checked everywhere. Chris checked everywhere. We took the vents off the wall and tore the entire house apart. NO SHOE! Yesterday we got a phone call from a neighbor...Mykenzie's ballet shoe was in her front yard. It somehow got dropped in a random part of her yard and then snowed on. The snow melted and there it was!

I was tempted to kill the fatted calf...i kid you not!

Kindergarten and Useful Knick-knacks

Watch out Park School...here she comes :) officially TODAY!
My sister-in-law gave me this way cool thing the other day. She watched me struggle to keep the foil on the crust while I was baking a pie on Friday night. A few days later she presented me with this:
a pie crust shield. just put it over the pie and NO MORE FOIL! Happy Day for me. (I LOVE to have an excuse to make Micah's sister's pie recipe!) LOVE IT! Anyway...best part about this... check out the brand...yep, that does indeed say Mrs. Anderson's!

Brothers Gotta Hug!

How cute are these? Jaxon and Jayden wanted to sleep on the hide-a-bed last night. Chris went down to check on them and this is how they were sleeping!

Little Stinker

This is the boy...this cute little innocent face that played hookie last week! But, oh he was just so funny at it!

He woke up on Wednesday morning really sluggish. He had a hard time waking up and staying up. He kept going back to lay down, which is pretty unusual for Jaxon. He would hardly eat his breakfast. He said he had a stomach ache and a headache. I tried to make him eat something, but he took one bite and then wanted to go back to bed. I finally agreed to let him lay down and called his ride and told her he wasn't going to school. I made him go back to bed and he slept for like another two hours. Mykenzie and Jayden were watching a movie and when I went downstairs to check so was he. I asked him if he was feeling better and he said he felt way better. I told him, "Well, then hurry and get dressed and let's get you to school." He looks at me with a sad "sick" face and says, "mom, it's coming back!" An hour or more later I asked him how he was feeling, his reply? "Is school over yet?"

Little stinker! Oh well, it was one day!
