I DID IT!!!

This is Jayden's "I did it" dance...after he went potty like a big boy! YAY for the little man. Yesterday he was DRY ALL DAY! Here's to only having to change one little bum. A happy day for me. To celebrate and motivate we bought him his undies of choice...Lightning McQueen and Choo-Chooo's...He's well on his way to being a big kid.

Here's how the potty training goes:

Me: Bay, you need to go potty?

Jayden: No, I just fine.

repeated over and over through the course of the day.

eventually he comes to me and says, "I need go potty" and then we rush to the bathroom while we wait patiently for him to learn how to go. Usually this requires some coaxing from warm water...
what a guy!

Halloween Festivities

So, how cute are these chair covers? My mom sent me the stuff and I put them together just the other night...we are SOOO ready for "the big night".

Daddy Time

I may have made some mistakes in my life, but one thing I did right was picking my kid's dad. My kids adore their father, and to be serious, what kid wouldn't? The second they hear the garage door go up in the evening, they start shouting and yelling. The minute he walks in the door he is bombarded with hugs and kisses and what sounds like a hundred conversations at once. Everyone has to unleash everything they've been waiting to tell dad all day. The flood gates are down...

The kids love to do anything with dad. Favorites include wrestling in the basement (which usually turns into a pillow fight or a monster attack) and going outside and watching him drive his trucks.

Come to think of it, what kind of kid wouldn't love having a BIG KID for a dad! Chris never really grew out of toys and fun kid stuff! He LOVES buying the boys presents because then he gets a good excuse to check out the little boy toy isle at walmart...possibly one of his favorite places!

The other night was Payton's turn for some serious daddy time. I think Payt's just as addicted to chris as the other kids. He just sat there and stared at chris. Chris says he got him to smile, but I didn't quite see it.
See, kenzie just couldn't resist! A minute with dad is a minute well spent!

What a day

we are working on a new nickname for Jayden...so far we have either the tornado or taz (as in the tazmanian devil)

DONE!!!

Done and only in a few days! WOOOOHOOOO! Christmas shopping DONE for the kids. Two days and everything is ready. I like to have everything done before November...makes Christmas that much less stressful!Now we've just got to wrap it all!

Haircut....FINALLY

As much as I think his hair looks pretty cute longer (it sits flat, unlike Jaxon's hair that sticks straight up), it was time for a cut.

yeah, so there it is. it's a 2005 GMC envoy XL. Chris' awesome brother-in-law got it for us at the auction. we got a sweet deal on it and plan on this being the vehicle to transport the anderson clan for a very LONG time!

it is by far the nicest ride we've ever had. it's fun to drive and has amenities galore..can't wait for winter with those heated seats! it barely fits in our garage, but we made room :)

Pajama Day (aka for-warning chris)

Today is UEA in Utah. What that means, exactly, I have NO idea. Except that that means no school, which is the perfect time for a pajama day. Jamma days are usually reserved for sick days. Sometimes they are also referred to as movie days. It's a day that I let the kids watch a lot of movies in their pajamas ALL DAY LONG. We eat cereal by handfuls and just hang out. Jax has requested one for a long time, so today is the day.

the warning is that the house is a mess and wife is too :) we wish you were here having a jammy day with us!
