Wednesday

We helped dad with the garden on Wednesday. The pictures are backwards...sorry... if you start at the bottom you get some idea of how the day went...kenzie in the apple tree..."helping"
kenzie and Grandpa Lee plant radishes (I think).
Jaxon and Grandpa Lee plant radishes
Jax and Jayden chilling on the side.
Mykenzie taking a nap on the rock and that is a rug she's using as a blanket.
helping make the paths through the garden
jaxon making sure the line is straight
jayden NOT making a run for the street....a rare occasion
the little ducklings

jaxon and grandpa tilling the garden. So we were all excited to come home and get our garden planted...only to see that all the hard work we did to till it up and get it ready to plant before we left...yeah...you can't tell! It looks like we planted grass!

The Rest of Tuesday...

So we followed the Freedom Trail from the Constitution to Fanueil Hall--which, I assure you, is no small adventure. It loops through the North End to the sights there and then heads out over a bridge to the main parts of town. The bridge was Betsy's favorite part :)So here is the old north church (the "one if by land, two if by sea" church). It's the big white spire!

These are all pictures from inside the church. They still hold church there...that would be a fun place to go to church...uncomfortable, but fun!
This is behind the church. It's called Paul Revere Square. That is a statue of Paul Revere in the background of this picture.
Mykenzie and I just hanging out resting our feet. We also passed Paul Revere's house somewhere along the line--that is the RED line!
This is the north end of boston...it's primarily a VERY Italian area. There is a pastry shop there that is just AWESOME! Mike's Pastries is what it's called (they ship anywhere in the US!). We each ordered a canoli and the kids got some ice cream. I haven't been there in at least 8 years, but it was just as good as I remembered!
This sis another picture of the north end...right by the old north church, and overlooking the boston skyline. We walked from here to fanueil hall. We ate dinner there (fanueil hall is a shopping area in downtown boston. it has food as well as kiosks selling t-shirts, hats, and other memorabilia). The pizza was really good as was the shopping. Chris got himself a hoodie and a red sox hat. We got the kids each a pair of cheap sunglasses and a t-shirt. I got myself a really nice hoodie (in case you cared!!). We headed back out and got home some time after 7:00. It was a ton of walking, but we had so much fun.

Tuesday Afternoon...

After our walk to the library and some lunch, we headed into Boston to see the USS Constitution.
We walked from the T stop to the constitution. We walked past the Bunker Hill Memorial and all through Charlestown on our way there. The area there is so beautiful. Some of the old homes are just so pretty. We had a lot of fun walking through there and enjoying the architecture and homes.
This is the BIG DIG!
In honor of our favorite Thompson...
Jayden and me

Betsy at the Constitution...we thought that since it was a Tuesday afternoon, we'd have no problem getting on a tour to see the whole constitution. We forgot to take into account the fact that it is the end of the school year, the teachers are dying to get the kids OUT and the Constitution is FREE!!! Mom and Dad took Jayden home while we took the Speed Line which only allows you to see the upper deck.
Jaxon and Mykenzie with the cannons in the back.
Playing around.
the fam minus Jayden

the captain's quarters
the boat
the kids playing on an anchor
they also had this world war II battle ship, the Cassin Young. The let you walk all over the main deck. I couldn't believe the small amounts of space. The kitchen was so small you could barely fit through without turning sideways. They had the ammunition room and the gun room that were smaller than a closet and they had 9 people working in there during a battle! Unbelievable!
Jaxon thought this antiaircraft gun was awesome. He was impressed that they could shoot bad buys airplanes out of the sky with it.
they thought the "bullets" were huge!

chris and me! We spent about an hour and a half, on these two ships. We really wanted to go to Faneuil Hall (something of a tradition for us when we go back there) as well that afternoon...that adventure to follow...

Sunday Night - Tuesday Morning

We spent Sunday trying to recover from the 2 hectic days before. We went to church and sat around and visited with the family. My uncle Bruce, aunt BJ and my cousin Kyle had come down for the wedding and we spent a good portion of the evening catching up with them.
That night, my sister, Lisa, volunteered to put the kids for us Sunday night...she read them stories and they LOVED it!
On Monday, we didn't have too much planned, so my dad took Jaxon, Mykenzie, Chris and my brother to the Museum of Science...but the batteries to the camera weren't charged, so there are no pictures from that. I stayed home and visited with my sisters. Tuesday Morning we went for a walk to downtown woburn to get some library books for the kids to read.
this is downtown woburn...or a small block of it.
Chris loves this church.
this is a gargoyle on the library.
the library has got to be on one of the coolest buildings i've ever seen...

Home Again...

So got back from our trip to Boston on Saturday night. It was a miserable day of flying (mostly because Jayden wouldn't sleep and cranky-old-lady passenger in the seat in front of me). We had a wonderful vacation. We got in about 10 pm on Thursday the 8th. Friday we spent setting up and getting ready for my sister's, Katy, wedding. Saturday was the wedding--it was awesome! A little cold and overcast, but a great day and a great reason to celebrate! To see pictures of the wedding go here,
here,
or here or even here.

It was a great weekend. We are so happy for Katy and Micah. We have had a few opportunities to meet Micah and have always really liked him!

More pictures of our trip to follow...

Sorry...here are the pictures!

OK, so here are the ultrasound pictures...at least the ones that you can sort of tell what they are. The pictures that we got this time weren't really fantastic...the baby didn't cooperate particularly well. He kept his hand in front of his fact, so we couldn't really get any good pictures of that and he has his legs pulled up to his chin too, so it was hard to get anything good. The first picture is a leg, the second is his foot the third is his "determining factor"... just to prove it really is a boy and there wasn't really anything left up to question on that fact.

So yesterday I got out all my little girl stuff, put it in garbage bags and have a bag for lizzie, a bag for sophie, two bags I gave my friend, and one more bag for smaller girls...don't know anyone having a girl!

Boston...2 days and counting!

SO...the Ultrasound

So here's the question...what do these pictures (jaxon and then jayden), Carrie's Baby and Lisa's Baby all have in common with anderson baby #4?

Well, without getting into the anatomy of it all...they are all BOYS!

That's right...disregarding our best guesses and "intuition", baby number 4 is a boy...and he didn't really leave any room for doubt!

Know anyone in need of girl clothes?

PS I stupidly left the ultrasound pictures at Janet's house...so I will post some of them tomorrow!
