"I Love The Flower Girl..."

Yesterday we took a girls only (except for baby Jacob--my nephew) down to Ogden for some wedding dress shopping. While the trip was a total bust for Sarah and she decided to go back to the one in Logan that she really liked (it's REALLY PRETTY!), Mykenzie had a blast trying on flower girl dresses. We were only able to get a picture of this one dress before they told us no cameras! Trust me, she had fun :)
But, seeing as all these flower girl dresses cost nearly as much as a wedding dress, I think we'll go for something NOT at a boutique!

Check This Out!

Katy found this dress while searching KSL for wedding dresses. It is actually a maternity dress that she says is the colors (or close enough) for her wedding....so, I am buying it...for $25!!! i gotta figure something out to go over or under it! HOW CUTE IS THIS DRESS?! I SOOO love it...it's perfect for pregnant summer/spring time. gotta find some cute shoes too!

Tis the Year of

Weddings!
So, not only do we get to go to Boston for Katy and Micah's wedding, but...
Sarah and Dirk are FINALLY getting married!
They got engaged Sunday morning. They are getting married on June 27th (as of right now!)
I LOVE WEDDINGS!

No Use Crying Over Cracked Eggs

So yesterday Mykenzie let Jayden into the fridge. He pulled out my almost full dozen of eggs and dropped them on the tile. Knowing the price of eggs recently, there was no way they were all going to waste. So, giving absolutely NO HEED to the doctors orders to take it easy this week, I spent all afternoon baking... brownies, chocolate chip cookies and chris' sugar cookies...

all I have to say is, "I should have listened to the doctor!" I was dead by the end of the day!

P.S. Chris says I should clarify the doctor's orders...SO...on Monday I had some bleeding. I went in to see the doctor, he did an ultrasound. He said the baby is healthy and fine. He determined the cause of bleeding and told me to take it easy for a week--NOT BED REST, but no lifting or exercising or doing too much, so that I could have some time to heal.

Happy Birthday, Carrie and Lisa

Today is my older twin sisters' birthday!!! Yay, for them! Lisa has this cool thing she does on her blog on people's birthdays...I thought today, I might do the same for her and Carrie...

We'll start with Carrie (since she's older by 20 mins)
1. we've gone through a lot of the same stuff together (getting married 2 months apart, having our kids around the same time, etc)...it's been fun to have someone who knows EXACTLY what you're going through to talk to.
2. even though we have very different personalities, we get along really well. Carrie is easy to talk to.
3. she was my motivation for loosing the "baby weight". she started running to get back in shape after her third and looks AWESOME! even 6 months pregnant!
4. her kids are AWESOME...my kids love playing with them and the 6 of them get along better than anyone else they play with. (this means she's a great mom!)
5. she is a great example...being the oldest in the family put a lot of pressure on her shoulders, but she did great!

Now on to Lis, the geese (gotta love Dad's nicknames)
1. she is very aware of people's feelings...which means she makes people feel comfortable and loved and cared about by just being around. she always remembers people...like birthdays and special events and sometimes just because. she is SOOOO good at keeping in touch with everyone.
2. she coached YW basketball this year...we comisserated often!
3. she is an FABULOUS aunt...she is always patient with my kids (which sometimes takes a lot of effort)
4. lisa is one of the neatest people I know...as in clean. she always looks FANTASTIC and is very orderly.
5. she is fun to talk to...she always calls while she's shopping or driving home from work and she is so fun to vist with. I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HER IN MAY.
6. Lisa probably has to be one of the world's best wives...(see #1 for reasons why). Jimjimmyjimbojim is a lucky man!

I have many fond memories of Carrie and Lisa in their high school years. when laree was born, carrie was determined to spoil her rotten because, "By the time she's old enough to be a brat, I'll be at college!" She succeeded and Laree was very difficult about that age, if I remember correctly. Carrie and Lisa always had their "secret language". they'd give teh boys they liked (most often the current missionaries in the ward) nicknames so no one would know who they were talking about--off the top of my head I remember Jedi and Chia. They let me borrow their clothes... I remember when I was in elementary school, they were determined to make me look great for picture day. They spent the entire morning curling my hair and picking out my clothes. They left for school and for some reason I can't remember, I had mom brush is out! It was one of my worst school pictures ever! They included me in a lot of their things and for that I will ever be a better person from their examples and friendship!

Happy Birthday, dear sisters!

It's A....

Heartbeat!!!! I went to the doctor's yesterday for the first visit. I am 12 weeks and now 2 days along...that's about 5 days away from the end of the first trimester!
The doctor did an ultrasound to determine the due date and check on the health of the baby. He said everything looked great...strong and healthy!!! YAY!
He moved my due date to September 16...we just hope we can keep the baby in until 36 weeks!
Sorry to disappoint you, Carrie...just one.

Like Father, Like....

So, Monday night we sat down for Family Home Evening. Chris, got comfortable...So did Jayden!
Since everyone else had their feet on the table, Jayden had to try to reach it too.
Only, in order to reach it, he had to barely have his head on the couch.
here he is, falling off!

Cabellas

So, on President's Day we drove down to Provo to pick up Laree for her stay in Cache Valley. Chris, his dad and Jaxon had gone down to Cabellas when it first opened and said that I HAD to see it. So since Chris was in the market for a new scope for his new gun :), we made a stop at this sportsmans mecca! WOW! I was impressed chris and cris with the kids (neither of them wanted to walk)
again...
there is this fake mountain in the middle of the store that has ALL kinds of animals on it...moose, deer, otters...etc...each side of the mountain represents different seasons and different animals.
kenzie taking with a moose
this is the aquarium....they have some pretty amazing fresh water fish...some are quite LARGE
betsy and jayden
I couldn't believe she was wearing cowgirl boots! I had to take a picture
Jaxon riding the dog!

There was tons more to see and do and we got so caught up in it, that we stopped taking pictures. A fun experience if you're down in the provo, lehi area!
